Good... Eh!

Well Thursday for the most part lived up to the hype. Only problem was my golf score increased by 9 strokes on the back nine and the dbacks lost.
Either way the day was pretty cool... We went golfing at Vistal Golf Club. And it was a beautiful day! Chilly and not tht warm just perfect.
That's AJ "the man who married my cousin" awesome guy.

First nine I shot a 52(which isn't tht bad for me)... Second nine I shot a 60(and you feel like a huge faliure)

Then we headed back to Aim Right where we all had parked.  Then Colby to me to the food truck him and Kari had been telling me about. Kari said its worth getting sick over... And she did. I was told to get the Carne Asada Burrito... Woo awesome!

Then it's game time
Dbacks vs giants and at field level... There were problems! Bees! Lots of bees. They caused they game to be delayed.
It felt awesome and looked it!
Afterwards I had to make it back to the house and pack some more.  I was able to see one more good sunset.

But I was still hoping to to go out to eat, and once Ashton got off of work we were able to go. We ended up going to Santisi Brothers. Let's just say they know how to show sports... In bulk.
Those are all TVs with sports on it.

Well I do need to finish packing today. Dan Borntreger lands at 630 and from there we will go to eat at Rudy's and then take off ourselves. So it's possible tht I'll be in Indiana the next time I update... Ttfn

Don't you hate goodbyes

I never know what to say! Or how to say a good and honest farewell.
The closer I got to my time to leave the harder it is to want to go back. Part of me would rather stay here so I don't have to deal with the Mennonites unwritten rules and clichés. What is the point! I don't think I'll move back here unless I'm married (Lord willing). So if your waiting for my return... Might be awhile or never. Any of you got advice on how to adjust to that world again?
Or maybe it's looking at driving  from PHX to Denver to Kolona(?) to Northern Indiana feels like such a long way for that back to safely make it back to Indiana.

And as of now this is the route were thinking of taking... O and my friend Dan is driving back with me.
Friday night drive to upper az
Drive to Denver hopefully in time to watch the final four.
Then from there drive through the night and get to Kolona by morning and maybe stay for church.
Then after church drive home!
To long for a bike to go on the back of a car:) right?

I hate dilemmas

I hate dilemmas! What do you do when kids swear! What about when they start telling stories with obvious sexual enuandos.  What do you do when kids say " your cool Dwyiln, you let us swear."
But I don't want them to.. They just won't listen to when I tell them not to or go home. This is one of those days that your at a loss

The Announcement for my Immediate Future Intentions

Well some of you might know my term is set to go through June 15. If there is anything God teaches his children it's this! "Don't get comfortable, and always expect the unexpected!"
Some of you might know by now that the mission I'm a part of 'Prodigal's Home'. Is shutting down its doors as a kids ministry. Jeff and Trisha also plan to move back to Indiana sometime this summer. Also our director believes that his time at this ministry, has come to an end. So as of April 4th, we at Prodigal's Home, will be shutting down all kids ministries. We our hoping and praying that the house will be taken over by another ministry.
Now if your wondering what this means for me. It means that my term will come to an end on April 4th as well. Meaning I will be free to move home at any point there after.  They informed I am more then welcomed to stay till June as planned, but I believe that it's my time to head home. I still haven't totally made up my mind, but this is what I believe I'm suppose to do.

We explored what it would look like to join another Urban Youth Outreach for several months but decided against it because of the limited time-frame.

So we believes that the best decision would be to head back home and take the next step.

Oh the perks of Carpe diem, and the occasional depression of Carpe Aeternitatem like thinking.

Well theere are always moments of awesomeness, but inevitably you start to realize that time is your enemy. With some kids you feel like cool things are happening and your connecting, and that they really enjoy having you around. That's when you think about it again. On Saturday it marks the point of 3.5 months remaining before I return home, And you wonder how different things will be again. For the kids as well as yourself and for the ministry itself.

Never thought kids enjoyed me being around. While not until I went through spiritual counseling that started when I was 19, and God changed something. I don't know how, but kids don't usually hate me anymore. :)

There many things to miss from here besides the obvious one of a spring time that last from October to March. Which is immediately made up for by having summer from April straight through September.

I wonder what will happen to these kids. Will God give them more people to bring guidance to them? And questions I'll never know the answers too. Will there lives be any different because they had this house and people that cared about them?

What are some things I'll miss? Random moments of unexpected events... Like when Cici takes my hat and wears it just because it's mine and she enjoys messing with me, but she does ask if the hat is sweaty:)
No matter how big it is.

Early I was playing the card game 'WAR' with Abraham
And Cici, (who actually took this picture) told me that I have something in my mouth and asked me to open up so she could see. Well I did, and then she stuffs a 'Famous Amos' cookie in my mouth. And just looks at me with a little grin like she just accomplished something grand:)

I'll miss kids that have a love language of touch (and some of them own up to it) and just come up to you and sit and lean there heads on your shoulders or hug you randomly from behind and just hang there.

The ones that try to be good while being a kids. Those can be rare!

I wonder if they'll remember me in fifteen years when there in there mid-late twenties.

Steph really made me feel old when I told her that Hurricane Katrina hit right before my 15th birthday. And then I realized all these kids were like 2-5 at the time.

I womder how much of this lifestyle can follow me home and effect my life. The life I had before can't be it. That Wes so boring and unfulfilling.

Sorry for the Delay

Well yes, it has been awhile since I've written anything. So anyway I made it back to Phoenix. After a long car ride! We've been getting into the swing of things and time has started flying again. My parents were able to come visit me. We were able to visit the town of Sedona.

We went out to eat

We hung out with relatives (from Wisconsin and Minnesota) visiting there grandparents and us.

Today my grandma had open heart surgery. She went in this morning and made it out fine. But she isn't out of the woods yet, and still is weak... So please keep prayers coming in.

Also I had two very good friends meet yesterday. Well, met over Skype. 18 year old Kaley(from Indiana) and 10 year old Cici(from Phoenix). Cici started texting kaley with my phone back around October. They would occastionaly txt using my phone, And ever since then Cici has been wanting to meet her. So the best I could do is have them Skype. It was great!
They laughed some and made good small talk. And then Cici said something to me that made laugh.
While they were talking, she looked at me and said, "I really want to ask her if she thinks I'm pretty?" I just laughed and said, "go ahead." Kaley instantly responded and said yes, you are very beautiful! I don't know if Cici heard it because she instantly asked, "do I have beautiful eyes." Kaley replied yes! And Cici blushed a little... The conversation lasted about 10 minutes. And she seemed to have great fun with it.  She did wish that she could have talked to her alone. You know "girl talk" :)

That's probably the highlight so far.
